Tortuguero Costa Rica is a butterfly and bird watchers paradise. Over 3,000 species of butterflies and nearly 850 species of birds inhabit Costa Rica’s Tortuguero Park.
Tortuguero has 309 identified species of tropical, exotic birds including keel-billed toucans, blue herons, kingfishers, egrets, turkey vultures, a variety of parrots and the rare green macaw.
