About Sedona Arizona
Located in the north end of Verde Valley, about 120 miles from Phoenix, Sedona Arizona is a relatively small town with just over 10,000 residents. Sedona has enjoyed a rich legacy of Hollywood film making since the 1930s, even promoting itself as “Arizona’s Little Hollywood,” and has attracted such big Hollywood stars as John Wayne, Jimmy Stewart and Elvis Presley.
In recent years Sedona has become a favorite tourist attraction, partly because of it’s strong culture of artists and artisans, and partly because the town is surrounded by amazing red rock formations.
The red rocks of Sedona are famous the world over and definitely on the bucket list of many avid travellers and photographers who come here from all over the globe to see or capture Cathedral Rock Sedona, Bell Rock, Devil’s Bridge, and the sinkhole in Soldier’s Pass called Devil’s Kitchen, which includes a giant red rock called the Grand Piano.
Other tourist attractions include Oak Creek Canyon, which has over 16 miles of shear rock walls, pristine waterfalls and meditative streams, plus the Roman Catholic Chapel called the Chapel of the Holy Cross, which was built on one of Sedona’s natural buttes.
Explore Sedona on Your Own
Surrounded by red rock monoliths and other geological wonders like spires, domes and buttes, Sedona is recognized for its healing vortex energy centers and the area is sacred to the Native Americans. Sedona is well recognized as a place where one can nourish the soul, calm the spirit and get back in touch with nature.
Caravan Tours also allows our guests ample time to explore Sedona’s 40 or more eclectic art galleries, plus boutique wineries, unique spas and one-of-a-kind shops.

Since then, Caravan has been recognized as a pioneer in travel. You can trust in our stability, experience and dedication to quality.
