Bryce Canyon Tour Vacation
A morning Bryce Canyon tour is an unforgettable addition to our Caravan Grand Canyon vacations.
Located just north of the Grand Canyon in Utah, Bryce Canyon National Park is famous for its unique geology and natural features. You will marvel at the horseshoe-shaped amphitheaters carved over centuries from the Paunsaugunt Plateau.
Years of frost-wedged erosion and rainwater have sculpted fantastical shapes within the limestone rock including Bryce Canyon’s famous “hoodoos.”
Bryce National Park is recognized for having the most abundant collection of natural hoodoos, which are often described as totem pole-shaped natural rock formations.
Commonly referred to as the Claron Formation, Bryce Canyon hoodoos range in size from 6 feet to over 10 stories tall! Ancient mineral deposits help define the Bryce Canyon hoodoo formations and their fantastical pink, orange, and reddish colored limestone spirals.
While in Bryce Canyon, Caravan’s itinerary for our Grand Canyon vacations also includes views of Bryce Point and Sunrise Point, which overlook the spectacular Bryce Canyon Amphitheater.
Zion National Park Tour Vacation
After visiting Bryce Canyon your Grand Canyon vacation continues southwest to include a Zion National Park tour.
Like Bryce Canyon, Zion National Park features a stunning geographical landscape that can’t be found anywhere else in the world including a wonderland of rock monoliths and massive sandstone cliffs in shades of cream, pink and red.
Zion Park tours get you up close with the wildlife within Zion including plateau lizards, mule deer, wild turkeys, western rattlesnakes, gray foxes, and canyon tree frogs.
While all the wildlife seen in Zion Park is protected by the National Park title, special attention is paid to the Mexican spotted owl, Mojave Desert tortoises, and Southwestern Willow Flycatcher.
Our Caravan Grand Canyon vacations include exploring Zion’s East Temple, Court of the Patriarchs and The Great White Throne, plus plenty of free time to enjoy the beautiful setting of Zion Park Area and park activities such as hiking.
